Dave came from an unlikely background before becoming a tattooist. He was born with a talent for drawing, and had won art competitions in his elementary years. But there were no opportunities for artists where he came from, and he dabbled working blue-collar jobs here and there— painter, draftsman, construction worker, assessor, tax mapper.
With a little encouragement from his brothers who were also tattoo artists, he began doing henna tattoos and body art before becoming an apprentice at Ann Savage Tattoo Studio. His innate talent for drawing shows in his tattoo works. He has won awards in various categories. His dominant tattoo style leans on the black and grey, stippling, and surrealist/horror.
If not tattooing, Dave spends his free time drawing in graphite and perfecting his photoshop skills.
